They are made of ultrasuede and, while you do have to be careful, they're doable. They could also be embroidered. I have been doing turned edge appliqué for some time and have alway felt it was cheating in some way or not really the legitimate way to do it.<br />Some make you feel like if you weren’t doing needle turn you were not really doing appliqué. It feels good to have someone of your abilities say it is alright.
